Summary
The thing about omegas is that they’re pretty, meek, and submissive. There exists a softness within them that must be coveted. Protected. What use is one outside of the home? Omegas exist to care and to be cared for. They must be loved, courted, and kept away from the harshness of the working world. Every omega needs a strong alpha to provide for them.
The thing about Peter is that he’s got a decent face, a bad attitude, and a penchant for punching out alphas. There exists only rage inside him, tempered like steel under the fiery force of his will. Spider-man is his saving grace, his penance and calling. He’s long since learned to survive unprotected, and he definitely doesn’t need an alpha to muck up his life. Plenty of them look, plenty of them shoot their shot, but not a single one of them likes it when he opens his mouth.

Summary
Silly post-canon fic. The Mute, now recovered and living peacefully with Diarmuid, decides to shave his beard to better hide his identity. Then he decides to give his sleeping lover a bit of affection. Except, Diarmuid's never seen the Mute without his beard and, still half-asleep, promptly freaks out.
The misunderstanding is soon cleared up with a bit of fluff and smut.
