Summary
Professor Xiao Zhan can't help taking an interest in the graduate student he meets on his first day on campus, and the gorgeous blond dancer seems to like him, too. Though Wang Yibo is a little young, he is also incredibly hot. So Xiao Zhan may have done a little digging into campus policy, and he may have been relieved to find that there would be no employment-related issues if they took their friendship to a new level.
The only issue is that Xiao Zhan keeps running into Wang Yibo in compromising situations with other men! It appears that he's already got a whole collection of geges he's involved with, and Xiao Zhan might be a nice guy, but he doesn't like to share - no matter how handsome and intriguing his new friend might be.

Xiao Zhan and Wang Yibo, throughout (and after) the filming of CQL, inevitably falling into each other without being able to stop it - and finding their own path to the stars, with the goal of keeping it after the summer ends.

“That’s what you always say!” Yibo shoots back. “You’re always ‘in the middle of’ a project — several at once, in fact, so nothing ever gets put away!”
He doesn’t really mean for his voice to sound so accusatory, but they’ve been stuck in quarantine together for a couple of weeks now, and the escalating disorder is starting to get to him. Yibo sweeps his eyes across the room to survey the disheveled state of their apartment, and sighs deeply.

Summary
Wang Yibo is famously bad with horror movies, especially the haunted kind. So, when it turns out that his own new apartment might be haunted by an actual real-life ghost, very much outside of a horror movie, he is ready to assume that the universe is playing a cruel joke on him.
Except, this ghost is very different from the ones depicted in such media. Very ironically, that ends up making it all the more cruel, somehow, especially as the question arises: can you fall in love with someone who isn't really there?
