“Holy shit, dude,” Hayden whispers, too loudly, as he pulls Shane away. “No way you were just talking to Ilya Rozanov.”
“Uh, yeah. We just met. Wait, did he lie to me?” Shane asks, looking back over his shoulder where Ilya is now standing next to a short but very muscular woman with long black hair. “What does he play?”
Hayden stops, so Shane does too.
“You don’t know who that was?”
Shane makes a face that says ‘no shit’, and waits for an answer.
“Dude. You are so innocent. Ilya Rozanov, ‘Russia’s Greatest Love Machine’?” Hayden says, like it’s obvious.
Shane looks at him blankly, and then Hayden laughs. Not like, a chuckle. He full on cackles, bending over like he can’t even contain it. “Man, he’s like prolific.”
“At what?” Shane snaps, because he’s getting really sick of not being in on the joke.
“He’s a porn star, man.”
“A-” Shane says, swallowing thickly. “What?”

“What do I want?” The man tilts his head to the side and blinks owlishly. “You are the one who summoned me.”
The guy has the gall to sound incredulous when he’s the one breaking and entering into someone’s apartment in the middle of the damn night, but then the words finally come crashing into Alex, bouldering into him one-by-one until he can do nothing but sit in silence, eyes wide and mouth open.
“What?”
Alex, drunk and occasionally stupid, chooses tonight to be ostentatiously stupid and summons a sex demon—incubus. Yeah, yeah, Nora, who cares about the proper term? There’s some guy in his bedroom expecting sex!

Alex blinks, then lets out a snort—purposefully ungentlemanlike to draw exasperation from both his mother and sister. "How unfortunate for him. Did he gamble away his dignity?"

Alex spends the week leading up to his marriage ceremony avoiding his betrothed, for his mind cannot comprehend any reason why Lord Henry, the man who scorned him at his debut, wants to marry him now that his reputation is ruined.

“If I tell you to do a keg stand, you’ll do it,” he says. “Won’t you? Tell me.”
“Yes,” Jungkook says. His lips remain parted, and Jimin’s frosty irritation warms, thaws, melts, pooling somewhere low in his belly. His grip in Jungkook’s shirt tightens.
“And if I tell you to get me a drink, you’ll do it.” It’s not a question–but then again, Jimin hadn’t even had to ask, earlier, had he? He hadn’t had to ask Jungkook to bring him that beer, he’d simply done it.
“Yeah,” Jungkook breathes.
“And if I tell you to drive me and my friends to class, and do my homework, and clean my room, and get my dinner, you’ll do that too.”
“Yeah,” Jungkook says again. His face is pink, his mouth open, eyes half closed. His voice is barely audible over the thumping bass of the frat basement's soundsystem, and he’s swaying, just a little bit, like he can’t quite stay upright even on his knees.
“That’s right,” Jimin says, fighting against the urge to touch Jungkook’s cheeks, to feel the heat of his blush, hold him still a little. “What an excellent pledge.”
He holds up the shot glass in front of Jungkook’s face.
