On her part, she looks anxious, like this is the last place she wants to be in. Her eyes are very purposefully as far away from their figure as they can be and one arm is squeezing the other with what feels like as much force as possible. Held in her free arm, which is extended towards them, is some sort of letter.
“An invitation,” she explains, voice still far too nervous and far too shaky. “For my party.” But that just raises more questions, because since when did Noelle host parties? “Well, it's not much of a party, more of a gathering — mom’s hosting it as a sort of farewell, since I'm leaving for college soon-”

Kris was done. They weren't going to tolerate the interdimensional invader in their ribcage any longer. And if they had to open a fountain to get rid of it, they were going to.
Or at least, they were. Until that invader offered something new: the chance to remember between resets. To make their own decisions with nothing more than some minor advice and a helping hand if requested. Naturally, Kris was interested. And that's why they woke up on Thursday morning, remembering two days that technically hadn't happened yet.
Messing with the code can be delicate work. Do the wrong thing at the wrong time, and the bridge might just break. Or change fundamentally.
It's a good thing nothing like that could happen, right?

Kris didn’t exactly know what to do at this point. Susie asked them to take Noelle to the festival in her stead but… Noelle didn’t know that. And they don’t really know how to bring that up without it being weird.

They could just… not bring it up. The two of them would go their separate ways, and Kris could hang out in Castle Town until it was time to carry out more of the plan. They were fully content to just walk away right now.
“I guess it will just be the two of us, then.” Noelle said.
Or not.

Summary
Its hard to live up to the example set by your brother when you want to be a girl.
Kris has been living a double life, transitioning medically in secret, while keeping up outward appearances as the good young man of the Dreemurr family that they feel like they were supposed to be.
But secrets can't stay that way forever, and their struggle is only compounded by the typical confusion and difficulties of adolescence.
As their house made of lies comes crashing down, Kris will have to find a way to live for themselves, not anyone's expectations of who they should be.This is a story based around the idea of Kris being a boymoder- a trans girl who transitions medically, but stays closeted and presents male. In this story, Kris is depicted as a nonbinary trans woman.
