Sentinel fell. And with him, so did the friendship.
Optimus, forced to banish the mech he once called his best friend, watching Megatron dissapear into Kaon with his ideals that sharpened into dangerous and unrecognizable.
And between them — stands Bumblebee. Unable to abandon either side and far too stubborn to stop trying to pull them back together.
But everything changes when the truth finally comes to light.
Bumblebee is still a mechling.
Suddenly, the conflict between Optimus and Megatron stops being only ideological. What begins as a war over the future of Cybertron slowly turns into something far more personal.
And in the middle of it all, Bumblebee wants to achieve only one impossible thing:
To keep the people he cares about from destroying each other.

Bumblebee’s optics couldn't turn away from the sight. The sight of the grayed out frame of Blitzwing. The gash Optimus’s axe left still bleeding.
Aka, it’s Bumblebees first time seeing a corpse, and seeing another mech be murder. Optimus killed Blitzwing to protect Bumblebee.
What Optimus didn't realize was that this was Bee's first time seeing a corpse. What Bee realizes is this is not Optimus’s first being the cause of one, and that he will do it again.
This horrifies him.So, as we know, Optimus is a Prime. He holds a high rank in the Autobot army. So, he has the skills of a soldier. And to be high up, he probably has to have proof he can use them. So, what if he has killed before, like he has in other continuities? What if he ends up killing one of the Decepticons in front of Bee?
Bee was kicked out of the academy, and was also not in the great war. So he has probably never even seen a corpse before. And while he knows Optimus is a soldier, just never put it together that Optimus could, will, and has killed another.Bookmarked by Funtime_A03

It was an ironic statement to say after a solid fifteen stellar-cycles of Bumblebee being undercover with minimal communication. Optimus didn’t ever know where the scout was in the world at any given point, much less what he was doing.
And yet, one deca-cycle ago, Bumblebee’s cover was blown, and he went on G.H.O.S.T.'s radar. He had called Optimus with the briefest mission report, voice strained and dangerous.
That was it. And now Bumblebee wasn’t responding to his communicator.

(Rewrite and extension of Febuwhump Day 10: Magic Exhaustion.)
An exploration around the Malto's property goes awry when Bumblebee and the Terrans stumble upon a magical pond that appears to have a singular ability: turn whoever touches it young.
Consequently, the Terrans have to deal with a significantly younger Bumblebee - B-127 - with a heightened sense of self-importance and attitude. Confusion gripping all sides of the fiasco, the group of sparklings desperately search for a way to restore him to the mentor they know, all while trying to navigate their new and terrifying relationship.
Not that B-127's helping make things easier.
