Summary
Peter is fine, anyways. His boss might fire him soon, the Avengers might arrest him soon, the principal might expel him soon, but none of it has happened yet. And his dad—
“You didn’t get my coffee,” his dad says, halfway through his burrito. He has been in a state of low, simmering irritation all evening, and apparently this is how long it took for him to find a reason to blame Peter for it.
“You didn’t tell me to get coffee.”
“Do you have eyes?”
“Yes,” Peter says. “I have eyes.”
“So you could have checked if we needed coffee without me telling you every little thing, Jesus Christ.”

Summary
Peter almost deleted the email without even opening it. Anything with Stark in the subject line these days is a scam.
But then his eyes scanned further, widening by the second.
Welcome to the Stark Industries Summer Internship Program
OR
Internship at Stark Industries? Easy. Putting up with ghosts of his foster care past in a group project? Less easy. Meeting the Avengers?
He doesn't know if his heart can take it.

Peter is a genius, and gets adopted by Tony Stark. Oh, and someone's trying to blow up New York.
Thank you so much to Ace for beta-reading! They're currently making their way through the early Chapters and I cannot thank them enough for being so cool with it!

Summary
Peter knew he wasn’t their favourite, hell he wasn’t even considered an equal and he knows he probably will never be.
That’s just the way it’s always been.
He was the other stark. The forgotten one.

Summary
Peter always knew he was the odd one out in his family. It wasn't like he didn't try, he did try to be apart of the family just when he was younger and it never worked. He was never able to connect with anyone, at least not the way Harley connected with their dad, or the way Morgan had everyone wrapped around her little finger since the day she was born.
Peter was just there, in a way he believed that he wasn't important, not to his family anyway. That was what he always believed, at least before he got his powers and became the one and only Spider-man.
Maybe there was a reason why he was always the odd one out after all.

Summary
Tony steeled himself for something. A tearful embrace, maybe a hug that turned into an iron grip around the throat. Instead, Peter dropped his duffel on the couch he had just spent an hour perfecting. A small death inside.
Right,” Tony muttered, clearing his throat. “So—”
“When am I going home?”
Sharp. No warm-up. Kid even left the earbuds in, music leaking loud enough to prove the point: not listening. Then he flopped onto the cushions with an undue hardness.
Tony swallowed the wince. “Wow. Okay. Straight to the big existential. You only just got here.”
Peter shrugged, gaze fixed somewhere past him. “Yeah. I know.”
╴
Tony Stark met Mary Parker at a party. Fourteen years later, there’s a furious teenager on his couch and a past he thought he’d buried at the door. Peter is brilliant, guarded, and far too old for fourteen. Between boardrooms & blown circuits, Tony’s learning the difference between fixing a problem and raising a kid. What he doesn’t see are the late calls, the easy lies, the ghosts in Peter’s orbit that smile too wide and take too much. Money and tech—none of it can patch what’s failing. But Tony’s starting to understand: some things are worth breaking for.Bookmarked by Fer_Dotta
