Now that they've been given separate bodies, Marc struggles with all it is that gave him the DID to begin with: the PTSD, the dissociation and depersonalization, the panic attacks, the triggers, the trauma, and the flashbacks he can’t switch out of reliving.
Steven struggles to accept the pain and sufferings they have endured, yet remembers nothing of.
Jake struggles to like or appreciate the separation, and hopes Marc and Steven never find out he's still working for Khonshu.
Life's a bitch, but they make it work. Together. For each other.

Marc doesn't remember Jake and Steven as his brothers, can the boys figure out what is happening and how to bring their brother back before he's gone forever? Or before it's too late?
EXCERPT:

“Kid, put the knife down. We can talk without anyone getting hurt.”
Jake pleaded, shuffling a step towards the two; which instantaneously resulted in Marc’s tightened grip on the Brit and yanking him back against the wall.The helpless tsunami of emotions threatened to sink him under, his throat closing as Steven tried to crane his neck to gaze at his brother, to no avail as Marc shoved the knife deeper into his neck.
“Shut the fuck up. You have five seconds to tell me who you are, before I kill him.”
“Marc?” Steven’s voice caught upon a sob, a whispered plea as he yearned for his brother to come back.
“It’s us. Jake and Steven, your brothers.”“Brothers?” Marc’s harsh bark of laughter spilled from his throat and Steven flinched as the tip of the knife pinched painfully into his skin.
“My brother died.”Jake’s stomach twisted, dread and horror snarling with each inhale, sinking its claws deeper and deeper into the protector.

He remembered odd things from this dream. Soft grass beneath his palm. Sweetly spoken words in Coptic that he had not been meant to hear. A glint of gold in the pale sunlight. Ashy and empty eyes that had been full of life just moments ago. The scent of wildflowers and sand and brine. Pain deep, deep in his bones. Teeth sinking into delicate skin and coiled muscles as meaty fingers dug into his throat. Copper and zinc and sweet things exploding across his tongue. A voice, strange and familiar in ways that Steven didn’t understand as he had spit out skin and blood and teeth.

Years later, he had to make them believe he hated them, when the truth was the absolute opposite.
This is the story of how that came to pass.
