Summary
Natasha Trace is the uncontested possessor of a slew of superlatives in Bradley’s life. As a pilot and as a person, she’s consistent, adept, level headed — in a crisis of almost any kind, she’s the first person he’d want on his wing.

In the weeks of leave after the uranium mission, Bradley and Jake fall back into each other’s lives in more ways than one. Bradley doesn’t know how to tell Natasha; he doesn’t even know what it means himself, yet. But he’s gonna need to figure it out fast. Nat’s at his door for their weekly brunch date, and Bradley’s desperately trying to hide the evidence of their hookup last night, ranging from clothes thrown haphazardly around the apartment to the man himself, still asleep upstairs. Ten years ago, Jake carried everything he owned onto a train bound for the Midwest, days after losing his only remaining parent. Through finding and then losing an adoptive family, through cattle ranching and university and enlisting in the Navy — he’s never stopped thinking about the boy he met on the orphan train, wondering what became of him. It’s astronomically unlikely that they’ll ever meet again, as much as Jake wishes they might. But this New Years, he’s more preoccupied with the (hot) asshole at the piano in Javy’s favorite bar.

He’s going to blame it on a hangover. That’s how he’s going to explain it when he hurries into work with seconds to spare before his intake at nine, when he’s usually there at eight thirty. Because no one needs to know that he woke up in a strange apartment, with a strange man snoring into his bicep. Without nearly enough alcohol in his system to use as an excuse for falling into bed with a man he’d met only twenty minutes prior to going home with him. He’s not sure if this guy even knows his name, and Bradley certainly doesn’t know his.
Bradley indulges himself in a hookup on a work night; listen, it’s his birthday. But luck has it that he’ll run into the selfsame stranger again — at work. He is definitely not supposed to fuck clients. Goddamnit.

Shane stares up at Ilya and Ilya stares down at Shane, and Shane realizes he's not getting out of this without playing along. There's a challenge in Ilya's eyes, a glint of danger that makes the competitive nerve in Shane's spine itch.
He takes a deep breath, and tries to break loose. Really tries. Tries to buck Ilya off his lap and tug his arms free. Tries to roll out from under him. Even plants his feet on the mattress to get more leverage but…he can't do it.
OR; Ilya discovers he might be stronger than Shane. Luckily, this is an incredibly hot discovery for both of them.
