Oscar didn’t know how it happened. He thought he had been hiding it well enough– coming up with good excuses to avoid team dinners, excusing himself back to his room after hotel room service movie nights, saying his trainer would kill him if he tried any of the cupcakes from catering. He had felt good about it, it had all sounded believable, and he had never let the anxiety slip through the cracks.
He had tried so hard. So hard. Yet somehow, somehow, Lando peered through the cracks, putting broken pieces together despite Oscar trying so hard to make the puzzle unrecognizable.

Summary
The cold linoleum tiles offered something close to comfort on these nights, when Oscar’s skin ran too warm, and the guilt made the feeling of his clothes on his skin unbearable.
Some nights, to deal with the itch, he’d put on a sweater, a pair of too-tight jeans, folding himself into additional layers of itchy wool or stiff denim to distract from the loathing. He preferred the frustration, the feeling of his skin heating and itching, to the guilt that would eat away at him, moment by moment.
Sometimes, even the chilled linoleum felt too kind, and he’d force himself into an uncomfortable crouch, absorbing the weight of his own actions, the longing for coolness, gentleness, thrumming just under the surface.

Bruce had a protocol for this exact situation– Jason would be moved to Star City, or JL Tower, or Central City, or even the Amazons– just as far as Bruce could get him as quickly as possible.
Usually, though, it was Roy calling Jason, coaxing him back to Star City by faking some non-emergent emergency or begging for Jason to help Lian with a spelling test. Usually it was Roy, but Roy was in Gotham tonight. Roy was in Gotham and he would have to physically pry Jason from the roof to get him to give up the sting he had been planning, and there would be nothing that would convince him that his life, his sanity, might be more important for the time being.

It's possible to envy someone and love them at the same time.
You can watch from afar as they make friends, and smile, and live a life that you never got to live, one that was kept from you. Liam is a constant light, he helps others and forgives, he is loyal and caring and understanding. Liam goes out with his friends on the weekends and plays stupid card games and eats too much pizza. Liam smiles at Nolan every day in spite of the fact that he had once tried to kill him, he forgives even when it risks him getting hurt.
You can love someone so much that you want nothing more than to be held in their arms, an eternity of feeling comfort that has never been awarded to you. You can watch as their gentle hands outline a passage in a history book, and you can wonder if they would ever extend the same gentleness to you, in spite of your sins, in spite of your flaws.
Theo can only watch from afar, perplexed, appaled, and compelled all at once, as Liam lives the life he had always been meant to.

Summary
Theo is embarrassingly, blindingly in love with Liam, and he has been for months, maybe even a year. The entire pack knows, it's not like Theo has bothered to cover it up very much, so of course, it becomes a pack inside joke; a joke that Theo continuously fuels with new kindling in the form of embarrassingly mushy TikToks under the label 'friends only'.
