“It’s not fair! You have your…your stupid octopus arm things and all I have is sticky rope stuff!” Chase huffs through his mask, balancing himself on the edge of a metal pipe. He looks up at Nox, a faint trace of a smile on his face. Cute, he has to admit. If only he could see him smile forever.
“Then swing faster, pretty boy. Maybe you’ll catch me next time.” With a wink, Nox disappears into the neon glow of the city, and Chase’s heart seems to flutter away with him.

“You—you—” Chase splutters, staring up at Buddy, jaw practically hanging from the floor. “You—”
“I’m a bit more worried about you, Chase,” Buddy tilts his head to the side, and his eyebrows knit. Just a small bit.

“I don’t think that’s true. Why would peeling an orange prove anything? Anyone can do that.”
“That’s the point. If he helps you with something so stupid as peeling an orange, that’s show how deep his love is, he will help you with anything.”

Summary
They stay that way for a long time, Catra’s face tucked into Adora’s shoulder, Adora gently cradling Catra’s head. Adora is careful not to hug Catra too hard or make her feel restrained, anticipating the moment that Catra will start to pull away — but Catra doesn’t. She hangs on so tightly it hurts, her claws digging through Adora’s jacket and into her back, latching into her like she did when she was a kitten and didn’t know how much her claws could hurt. Adora tries not to wince, tries not to move a single muscle, worried that if she does the spell will break and Catra will struggle away, appalled at having shown weakness.
But Catra doesn’t let go. And so neither does Adora.
