“Are you okay?”
In lieu of convincing his vocal cords to do literally anything useful, Jisung nodded. The motion came out a little too enthusiastic, making him briefly dizzy. He reinforced it with a thumbs up, because apparently his body had decided that was the most reassuring option available.
What the hell are you doing?
Why aren’t you speaking?
“You didn’t hit your head or something, did you?”
Jisung shook his head immediately.
There was a beat of silence, then the stranger’s eyes widened, horror dawning fast.
“Oh, shit. Are you… Can you not speak?”
Before Jisung could get his two functioning brain cells to kick into gear, he was shaking his head again.
And there it was. The worst lie he’d ever told, without even opening his mouth to speak it.
Or: What happens when Minho is so hot it literally leaves Jisung speechless?

Summary
Eighteen days ago, Han Jisung got hired for Lee Minho's team at a large compliance firm. Han is bubbly, sparkly, bright, and painfully his type. He also is very into all things pink. As Jisung's direct supervisor, Minho has resigned himself to a lifetime of pining after the perfect man. Even if it was allowed, there was no way Jisung would be interested in someone like him. Right?
(or, Lee Minho quietly loves Jisung and panics over literally everything he does. Meanwhile, Jisung makes it increasingly obvious that he's into his hot older boss. Everyone notices except Minho. Chaos ensues.)

“Then he said the sex was mediocre and that it was because of me,” Minho seethes, pacing back and forth across his dorm, phone held up to his ear. “And that we could try again tomorrow.”
On the other end of the line, Changbin seems to be in a fit of laughter. Minho is much less amused, lips pressed into a tight line while he waits for his best friend to console him.
“Oh, that’s brutal,” Changbin cackles. “Well, will you?”
“No,” Minho hisses. “It was one hundred percent mediocre because of him, and we will one hundred percent not be trying again tomorrow.”
or: Minho has what may just be the worst one-night stand of his life. Jisung takes every opportunity afterwards to make it up to him.

Jisung cleared his throat, a sudden feeling of embarrassment coming over him. He stared at the paper cup in his hands as he spoke. "So you're really nice and all, and your cocoa is amazing, but the whole lip thing— I can see you staring when I talk and I just wanted to say it's kind of uncom-"
"Uh sorry, strange question, but could you look up at me?" Minho suddenly asked. "I need to read your lips or else I can't really understand what you're saying."
aka Jisung asks barista Minho to stop staring at his lips, not realizing Minho is deaf, and kind of has to.
