Summary
The lights that had bursted in the sky, ‘They’re fireworks!’ Enjin had supplied at his bewildered expression, were still going, their booming sound drowned out by the bustling crowd around them.
Rudo finds his eyes drifting back to them, watching as colors paint the air, fading and then immediately another takes its place. It’s beautiful, and he realizes he’s never seen anything like it.
These were bright, but in a way his mind couldn’t comprehend. It reminded him of something, of a time where things weren’t so complicated. Where his days consisted of fixing trash the others threw out, Regto’s teasing and Chiwa’s smile.

Rudo hasn’t had the chance to grieve, he just needs a little help.

Summary
Sometimes Gris seriously wonders what exactly goes on up in Enjin’s head. He’s a team leader with three kids, and is somehow one of the most reckless people he knows. Not with the kids around, but when he’s off by himself? It’s like all that stuff he tells his team goes out the door. Like it just doesn’t apply to him. He’d never let one of his kids go waltzing around in a No Man’s Land or a polluted zone alone. But him? Oh that was fair game, it didn’t matter if he did it.

Summary
For as long as he’s been alive he’s had to give something to get something. People don’t help just because they want to. They help because you have something they want, or they want to use you, or they are going to hold it over you or trick you. Enjin knows this, it’s how it’s always been, but he can’t figure out what this man wants.
It’s unnerving.

Summary
“Say ‘Enjin’…” Surprise flickers through Rudo; his eyes finding Enjin. The cleaner’s eyes narrow, but he continues to stare straight ahead, studying Mymo with impressive intensity.
“How’s Alto doing?” The world goes deafeningly quiet around them; his eyes are still on Enjin. He watches in real time as a harrowed expression takes over Enjin’s face, all traces of his intense glower gone within seconds. The cleaner's eyes snapped to him a moment later, whether out of instinct or something else, looking profoundly terrified.
What a rare sight to see.

Summary
“I had to help Rudo. It’s… nothing else really mattered besides that,” he admits, and Gris frowns at him.
“Your safety matters too,” he counters, and it irks him for a moment. He’s not someone who needs to be told his worth, or have someone reassure him of where he falls on the chain of importance. He can’t help but scoff, nearly breaking away from Gris right then and there.
“Over him?” he snaps, and Gris watches him, unfazed by his attitude. Perhaps having this conversation right now was a poor decision.

Summary
SPOILERS FOR CHAPTERS 165 AND 166
“You’re…” Gris’ words trail off, and he glances at him before shaking his head.
“I’m what?” Enjin mutters, letting his fingers dance down Gris’ spine. The supporter shivers, leaning into his touch before he locks eyes with him again, tightening the hold on his waist. His other hand comes up to trace the tattoos that adorned Enjin's skin, the man's hand warm against his neck.
“You’re mine.” Enjin doesn’t know if it was the way Gris’ voice dropped, or maybe the grip he has on him, or even the mark on his neck still damp with spit, but chills break out across his skin as his words. Not the kind that came from just the right touch or dirty words. It was the kind that was followed up by a hole opening up in his stomach, or the way your stomach lurches while falling.
He feels sick, like he’s going to vomit if he doesn’t get off this bed, or get away from Gris.
