Vergil gasps as Dante's finger presses inside him. It scrapes against something, and for some reason Dante yelps, suddenly yanking his hand away.
“Ow!” they both cry in pain.
His brother, however, is cradling his finger, staring at it weirdly. On the tip is a deep, bleeding cut, as well as the unmistakable indentation from something sharp.
He gapes at Vergil. "You bit me!"

Now, the eight-year-old detective is on a mission.
