Chapter Text
location: stan's house , 6:45-8pm
when kyle, kenny, and stan got out of school, the first thing they did was get to stan’s. they were playing on stan's gamesphere when all of a sudden, they hear this annoying ass voice ruin the good vibes of the room. yep, it was cartman.
and that also made stan realize that he forgot to lock the front door.
although theyre all friends, stan and kyle both found cartman to be hella aggravating. kyle was the only one who always saw through cartman’s bullshit and publicly spoke up on it. stan saw it too, but he always kept it to himself.
“sup jew. hey stan.” cartman said, already making himself at home by taking off his shoes. he had that same voice from 4th grade, only deeper now that he’s in high school.
“hey cartman!” kenny greeted him, muffled as always. his orange parka looks like it grew up with him.
stan pinched the bridge of his nose like he always did when he was irritated or upset. “what do you want now, cartman?” he said, sighing out of annoyance.
he knew that cartman only came around them these days just to get them to do weird shit with him and use them as cover to get his fatass out of trouble.
but this time, it wasnt that.
“i just wanted to hang out with my best friends!! is that too much to ask?? also you forgot to lock your door, stan. i couldve been a thief— or a murderer.”
”we both know you wouldnt run far if you were a thief.” kyle chipped in.
”SHUT UP, JEW! i probably could!” cartman snapped. “id get further than you probably would!”
“no you wouldnt, you’d get tired after running down one singular block.” stan said, laughing.
kyle and stan both laughed at cartman as he threw every insult he could at them.
theyve always done this. kyle or stan would make a little fat joke about eric, he would get mad and insult them, and then everything would go back to normal as if they had never argued. thats how close they are.
being that theyre all in high school, theyve had to change a lot throughout their middle school years. they were separated per request of mr. mackey and pc principal. they (and by ‘they’ i mean kenny, kyle, and stan because we all know that cartman didnt change.) had to stop their typical troublemaking ways in order to make it to high school.
the only reason why cartman passed, was because he somehow had good grades. despite all of that trouble he was constantly getting into all through middle school, his grades never fell below a c.
”you guys wanna go upstairs? i can move the gamesphere up there so i can connect it to my tv. we can also play guitar hero once i hook up my wii.” stan said, turning off the game.
”sure, why not. besides, it’s been a while since me and you played guitar hero. i mean, after we got the highest score in the world together.” kyle said, bringing up the time where they both got first place on the worldwide guitar hero leaderboard.
it meant a lot to him, and it brought him and stan closer together. he also loved bragging about it to his classmates, but they all laughed and said “that game’s outdated!”
stan grabbed the console and its cords and walked upstairs. cartman, kyle, and kenny grabbed controllers. stan already had the wii and the guitars in his room since he plays all the time. he loved solo-ing the song that him and kyle did together to get first place.
he hooked the gamesphere back up and continued the game they were playing. cartman just watched them, giving unnecessary criticism and commentary as usual. this was just like old times.
