Work Text:
“Janeyy, when will you be donee?”
Roxy whined as she leaned over the counter, stretching her slim arms as if she was a cat trying to get attention from its owner. In a way, it was true, except for her—it was for her heavily focused girlfriend. Jane’s face was almost tasting the paper of the recipe book, reading each step with precision. Her small hands skillfully handled the baking supplies like it was a second language Roxy could never understand, no matter how much she studied. Despite the wait that Roxy is clearly dreading, she can’t just stare at the girl working and agree it was boring. If anything, it was intriguing; even when that head is in between that book and not her chest. Or better yet, her thighs.
“I’ll be with you in just a bit! Just let me…” Jane trails off as she makes deliberate swirls around the cake. The blonde scoffs, of course, the big Jane Crocker can’t talk to her girlfriend without getting stupidly side tracked. Of course.
“How long is a bit?! It's been hours!"
“Oh! It’s only been… about two-ish hours.”
“Still hours!” She protests back, stomping her foot as if she was an impatient child. Roxy loved how ambitious Jane can be, it's a trait that attracted her in the first place. Though sometimes, it gets a bit.. much; so much at times, that Roxy feels ignored. Maybe it’s because of her already clingy personality; always needing reassurance or encouragement but… is it too much to ask to multitask? At least?
“Look, I’ll be done with the cake, and my focus will shift onto you, I promise.” The other girl spoke as she started to put the white doll drops around the cake in a one small then big pattern. Roxy has been with her long enough to know she would eventually cave in; keyword, eventually. Even thinking about that word is riling her up more than it should be, and not in a heated way.
“But I want your focus on me now! I waited long enough for your tightass, you owe me!” She huffed out as she crossed her arms and unconsciously stepped a foot closer, as if that would help her case. The distaste was clear on Jane’s face, and she took a deep breath.
“Well, Roxy, baking takes time! It's not my fault that you don't understand such craft!” Jane replied in a tone that was clearly her trying to keep her temper in check; a tone that was used multiple times on the other before to get the message across.
“Uh-huh, and do you know what I know how to do?” Roxy lets out a smirk and not a moment for Jane to respond before her slender hands snakes to the other girl’s waist. She takes a moment to slightly squeeze at her soft sides; that usually works with some sweet whispers, right? “Janey baby—“
“Hey! I told you to wait!”
Jane protests before she pushes Roxy into the island, causing her tailbone to be hit. It didn't even hurt that badly, but she still let out a sharp gasp.
“Oh, snicker doodles! Are you okay? I didn’t mean to push you off like that!” Jane panicked as she rushed to her side. Roxy’s eyes widened in anger and swatted her hand that was trying to hold her shoulder.
“Fine, FINE! I get it now! I’ll just go get myself off since this – shit is SO much more important then your girlfriend who is CLEARLY feeling something!” Roxy shouts as she turns to face her. The irritation was clear on her face as all her sense of her supposed logical thinking was now thrown out the window.
“But Roxy I told you multiple times I’ll eventually get to–”
“‘But! But!’ Ugh, and that stupid word again! ‘Eventually’! It's like you don’t want me here, so I’ll just— freaking leave!”
Roxy doesn’t do what she said. In reality, she just lies on the bed, face down. She actually wasn’t mad, but is in complete agony of needing something she knows will be better with Jane. She was basically nuzzling her back there, and if she had a tail, her fur would’ve already shed onto Jane’s dress.
Roxy can just blame the fact that move was bitchy from her, but she, herself, was the one who started the mess. Roxy may act like an impulsive, drunk blonde, but she wasn't stupid. She was the farthest from it, the game proved her to be so.
She groans into her pillow until she eyes the body mirror that was across the shared bed. Roxy actually got it for herself, mostly to do fit checks, but this time was.. different. She wanted to know what was so bad about taking a break. Was it her looks? Can't be. Her attitude? Okay maybe.
She gets an idea by distracting her, she had some assets afterall; enough for another girl at least. And besides, she can always apologize later.
Roxy slips off her off-the-shoulder tank top, letting it drop to the rug flooring. She gets up to walk to the mirror and lingers there, studying herself. What she has isn't much, and definitely not as much as Jane. Even then, she can still remember the touches on them; how those same hands that are now probably still making that pointless cake, were the same hands that touched her in ways she never imagined doing with her best friend since she was 13. She was this close to get out there, completely naked, and grab that stupid squeeze bottle to put those doll drops on herself instead—
Roxy is a pervert, yeah, she can easily agree to that. But who can blame a girl who just needs some lovin’? She wanted— no needed that girl to remember. She walks out of the room, her shirt still being discarded on the floor. Jane immediately paddles over to her the moment she steps into the kitchen.
“Oh golly gee, Roxy, I'm so sorry about the way I acted earlier, I—oh.” Jane shuts her mouth as her already huge eyes trail down to Roxy’s chest. Her eyes darked, fuck yeah; that's the reaction she tried to cox out of her.
“Hii.” She playfully purrs with the biggest grin one can do. “Why are you acting like you haven't seen these before?”
“I-I just thought you were mad at me.” Jane explained in a softer tone, her face much more flushed and almost guilty like. Roxy’s expression falters.
“Janey, I wasn't mad, I was stupidly thinking with my... my shit, you know? It was my fault anyway.”
“Yes, I understand that—ish. I thought you were going to take care of it; you said it yourself...” Jane responded by fiddling with her thumbs. Instead of relief, Roxy can feel that similar frustration flare up; this girl takes things too literally sometimes!
“Why would I do that when you are literally right here?! You know I talk out of my ass sometimes.” She scoffs as she looks at that stupid cake. Her eye twitched out of irritation, but she shook her head; she is out here for a reason. “I don't get how you have so much patience, don't you at least wanna take a small bite, Janey?” She speaks, her eyes trailing down to her chest in suggestion. She really hopes Jane gets what the hell she is saying now. And it did, she thinks. Roxy swore she saw her cheeks go ever so slightly pinker.
“W-well...” Jane muttered as she turned to the basically done cake. “I still need to do some finishing touches.” She mustered out, as it was difficult to keep eye contact with her. Roxy gets why but it lets her know this is working.
“Come on,” Roxy whined, dragging out the ‘o’ sound, “I know how much you like them. I think you can be a smart girl and piece together how I already feel, hm?” Roxy spoke in a playful tone as she walked towards Jane, making sure that her midriff would be in complete view. It was like Roxy was trying to pull her in, making Jane go down into the deep hole she dug herself into with her. She looks at her with those big kitten eyes as if Roxy were one and nudging her owner to pet her, to touch her. Roxy fingers curled around the other girl’s wrist, guiding the baker’s fingers to her side. The touch, despite it being as light as shedding fur falling onto the floor, was a little too close and a little too intentional as it went to the waist of her short fitted skirt.
“Figured it out yet?”
“Golly, I—I think?”
“You gonna do somethin’ about it?” Roxy replied as she prompted herself onto the kitchen island, letting out a sly look as she pats a spot between her thighs. “You are what you make, you know.”
“It's— actually ‘you are what you eat,’ and also, is that an implication of you saying that I am-”
“Same goddamn thing Janey, and besides, you know I like what you got so... why cant you let yourself eat what you are?” Roxy grins at her as she slowly parts her legs in suggestion; thank god she has a talent of thinking the most corniest things on the spot.
“Well, jeez, you got me there. You're lucky I find you charming.” Jane makes a small sigh before she obliges, going to the spot Roxy wanted to look at her from. Roxy makes a grin, as if she were the cat that finally got the cream.
“No, you just loveee me.”
