Summary
The sun is starting to peek over the horizon, so maybe Akira had been rounding down a little when he said the time. Must be placebo that Goro starts to feel a little bit warmer at the sight of it. Not that much is getting through the residual chill left by his dreams right now, but at the very least he can bend and flex his hands, watch as the blood rushes back into his fingertips. Like watching someone come alive.
It is reassuring, after the contents of his nightmares. Goro breathes in and then out, and marvels at the fact that his lungs still have the ability to do so. There’s something eerie about stillness, yet he finds it hard to move when he’s upset. Except to smoke, of course, but that feels like such a default-reaction by now he barely registers it when it’s happening. It’s been so long since he’s felt the need to dig through his things for the emergency pack, too, he’s relieved Akira hadn’t chosen to comment on the fact that he still had one when he came out onto the balcony. Distantly relieved, at any rate. Goro’s not feeling much right now, admittedly.

A nightmare sets Goro back a little, but Akira grounds him in the present.

Summary
Hello! A bit ago, I opened ship ficlet requests, and did... most of them. I did most of them!!! There were four that I never ended up completing and unfortunately never will, but I'm at a point now where I'd like to take more fic requests again, so please come and let me know what you'd like to see!
I'll be putting more detailed guidelines in the first chapter, but you're allowed to request ships or platonic relationships! Most of the fics that I write are character based, and the fic that I write for you will probably be around a thousand words or so (at minimum, depending on how inspired I am) so please don't give me anything too complicated. But if you have an AU or a headcanon you'd like to see written, I'm here for it!
Please respect all rules and stipulations that I include in the first chapter, and please read thoroughly to see what sort of stuff I'll be accepting and rejecting. I reserve the right to say no to any request you make without giving a reason, and I reserve the right to accept a request and later deny it after trying to write it.

Summary
He doesn’t speak today, though, leaning back in his seat instead and drawing his knees into his chest. Komaeda will wake up eventually. Hinata has enough faith in his implanted talent to believe that. But seeing him like this is still… painful, he thinks is the right word for it, especially when everyone else has already woken up. Everyone else has gotten to speak to their loved ones again, reconnect, get their closure. Things aren’t perfect, of course-- there’s all sorts of tension between a lot of people, and Hinata doesn’t think he’s properly equipped to deal with it-- but at least they’re together.
He can’t say that for Komaeda.

Summary
Her eyes return to Goro’s profile, watching as he flicks through files with deft fingers. This time, his gaze does settle on Haru; he meets her eyes, and the corner of his mouth quirks in what Haru considers to be the closest to a real smile she’s ever seen on him. She smiles back, then looks away, rubbing her neck.
This must not be easy on him though, being here. Goro is always so calm and collected when he talks about it, but she knows that it hurts him, knows that Shido’s rejection affects him a lot more than he tries to let on. He always frames it like he merely resents his father… but that can’t be all there is to it, can it? There has to be more.
“Um,” Haru starts. She glances around the room. Any bugs or cameras should be disabled right now, by Futaba, but she’s still nervous about the prospect of messing things up, of getting them caught.
Goro’s eyes have returned to his task. “Um?”

Haru and Goro infiltrate Shido's office. Haru wonders how Goro manages to keep his cool even while doing the hard stuff.

Summary
Hope's Peak Academy had its ups and downs for Hinata Hajime, but for the most part, it was a good experience, even if he was only a reserve course student in the end. That said, he can't deny that he's finding himself looking forward to some time with regular people in a regular university environment, pursuing a regular degree.
Or, he was, until he entered his first class and spotted one Komaeda Nagito.

Summary
Just yards away from her car, there’s a rush of movement beside her and someone seems to materialise out of the darkness. Before Kaede can say anything, greet them perhaps, a strong, cold hand wraps around her throat and slams her backwards into the wall, knocking the breath out of her. The sunglasses are knocked off her face and clatter against the concrete. Kaede gasps, hands scrabbling at the wrist by her neck, and wonders through an oxygen-deprived haze who it could be; a mugger? Something worse? Kaede has had encounters with nasty fans before, but never any that turned violent—could this be her first?
The hand shifts upwards, blunt fingernails digging into her pulse point, but loosens just enough for her to catch her breath. Kaede doesn’t get a chance to feel grateful for it before something sharp and chilly presses into her skin. The silver blade gleams in the moonlight. Kaede gasps, and would swallow if not for the knife against her neck.

For this one, though, Kokichi thinks he's looking for less "impenetrable" and more "a little penetrable," something that would be challenging but not impossible to crack. A language like a puzzle. And Kokichi feels like doodling, so he decides he's gonna make like the Egyptians and hieroglyph up in this bitch. The first "word" he makes is a tiny little crown, which represents himself (obviously). Then he lets his brain go on autopilot, and ends up doodling an eye with cute li'l long lashes. Like…
Oh.
That's what he was going to do with this language. Kokichi's subconscious may have won the battle this time, but he'll be damned if he lets it win the war. The rest of the language comes out in a very purposeful and not subconscious five hour manic haze of scribbling, assigning, Akamatsu, Amami, and Kiibo interrupting him to make sure he wasn't getting into trouble (the nerve), and planning the delivery.
...Yeah, this was probably the most needlessly elaborate way anyone had ever confessed their romantic feelings in the history of people having romantic feelings. But hey, if Saihara didn't get it, then did he really earn Kokichi's affection?
That, and since when did Ouma Kokichi ever do anything halfway?
