“Boyfriend?” Reo asks, confused. Since when did he have a boyfriend?
“You know? White hair, barely talks?” Reo has an inkling of an idea who Chigiri is talking about, but he keeps his mouth shut. “Spends most of his time at games just staring at you?”
“No, he doesn’t.”
“So you do know who I’m talking about.”
“No, I don’t.” Reo does not flush. “And he’s not my boyfriend. We’re rivals.”
Chigiri gives him a look, one that clearly spells out the sigh he’s holding back, before returning to his screen.
Or: Reo and Nagi are rivals. Chigiri doesn't seem to think so.

Summary
Till's work on the ship was not a complicated one. He was supposed to wash the deck, sometimes help with hauling in the nets, roll up and unroll the sails, that kind of dirty work. He didn't expect anything life-changing to happen. One day, however, his crew fished a strange creature out of the water, resembling a cross between a man and an octopus. Till couldn't help but be fascinated by him and quickly realized he couldn't let the captain sell him once they reach the port.
