You were in your backyard innocently watering the newly sprouting plants. It was early spring so you could finally spend some time outside and not be caged in the house like the little birdie you were during the winter. You gently hummed a soft tune as you sprayed each crop with the equal amount of attention.
Tomatoes, eggplants, and cucumbers.. oh and the peppers. Peppers. You hated peppers with every fiber of your being but your husband Ghost forcefully planted them into “your” garden. There was nothing you could do about it anyway so you gave the little angry sprout some water too. All was going well until you heard the harsh, heavy thuds of thick boots repeatedly hitting the pavement as they inched closer.. and closer towards you. All was suddenly not well anymore… and it won’t be for a while.

Summary
You and Ghost had been friends for years. However. things started to become different ever since a new recruit joined, let’s say he..took his distance with you. No longer saying “Good mornin” or even letting you see Riley on off days. At first you were just confused but..you never imagined it'd go this far.
The base was burning after an attack of an enemy force. Everyone managed to get out except you, Ghost, and the new recruit. Some soldiers were trying to help and evacuate others but the three of you were stranded in the narrow hallway as the smoke consumed all other possible exits. Ghost made his choice and saved the new recruit instead of you.. leaving you to burn alive, fully engulfed in the flames. You felt a sort of betrayal that you wished no one would ever feel, and it destroyed you more than burning **alive**
