Elizabeth smiled at the two men fighting over her. “Now, now, gentlemen, the passion is flattering.” She spoke softly. “But perhaps there is no need for this fight.”
“Of course not.” Stepping back, Minho nodded, yet his eyes never left Jisung’s. “We were just about to step aside and let you decide, Lady Elizabeth, weren’t we?”
Jisung nodded, also not looking away from Minho’s eyes, like the first to look away lost the challenge. “You’re absolutely right, Lord Lee. Let the lady decide. Though I’m quite confident she’ll choose someone with a bit more... charm.”
Taking a deliberate step forward, Minho used his height to his advantage, slightly looming over the smaller man. “Careful, Jisung. You’re starting to sound desperate.”
“And you’re starting to sound threatened.” Jisung shot back, his grin widening.
“If the two of you are finished. I would love to dance with the both of you. Just find me when your done with,” looking between the two of them, Elizabeth gestured widely, “whatever it is that your doing.”

Summary
Han Jisung knew that he could never fill in the position of being king to the Tenebrous Kingdom. He couldn't agree with the corrupt ways in which his parents ruled, and who they expected him to be.
There was nothing but shame and belittling when he presented as an omega, for he was taught all his life that it only made sense that a king would be an alpha- which he simply wasn't. They lied to everyone in the kingdom about who he was, and he was treated as something to hide.
When the abuse got to an unbearable point, he decided he needed to run away in order to survive the tainted palace and expectations.
