Sélas (σέλας): Means "light," "shine," or "flash";The Vóreio Sélas are the natural displays of light commonly observed in the Northern Hemisphere.
Cloud Strife, a mercenary who used to work for Shinra HQ as a SOLDIER, is hired by an eco-terrorist group led by Barret Wallace, called "Avalanche," to help them bomb Mako Reactor 1.
After the bombing, Cloud heads to the Avalanche hideout to meet up with Tifa Lockhart, another member of Avalanche.
They soon plan to bomb another reactor, but Cloud had been kicked out of the group since they no longer needed him, unfortunately.
However, Jessie, one of Avalanche's members, sprains her ankle, and Cloud is hired back in her place.
Tifa comes along with Cloud and Barret to bomb the reactor, but something amiss happens, and the power goes out.
The trio finds themselves in a strange, empty version of Midgar, where they must compete in dangerous games to survive.- Language:

Summary
Vesper Strife is a fourteen year-old girl from Nibelheim who survived the horrors of the incident and Hojo's grasp. After being rescued and cared for by Zack Fair, she grows an attachment to him—even while in a semi-comatose state. When Zack is presumed dead, Cloud Strife takes Vesper in as a daughter and trains her to fight in the Midgar slums with Avalanche.
