What if the Battle of Hogwarts ended differently?

“And what is that, Garrett?” Harry asks, head turning slightly while he watches the little boy look at his mother quickly, who smiles and gives him a quick thumbs up. Pausing, the boy leans into Harry's ear, who leans down slightly so he can whisper, “For Christmas, I want my mommy to be happy.”

"Knock, knock.” He murmurs then, drawing the biggest laugh of his life from Louis.
“Harry, for God’s sake!” he squeals, crying with laughter.
Really, no man could make him laugh like his husband, even if they tried.
“I said, knock knock.” He repeats, sulkily.
“Who is it?” Louis rolls his eyes affectionately, holding back his laughter so he can properly burst out at the perfect moment.
“Ash.” A mischievous smile tugs at Harry's mouth as he looks up at him, Louis bites his lips, then sighs and hums.
“Ash who?” he asks.
“Bless you!” he pulls back, laughing as he claps his hands like an aquarium seal. Louis laughs along with him, his stomach aches after a few seconds. Harry lingers those seconds admiring his work.
“That's why I love you.”
“Just for that?” His expression has changed now, leaving behind his satisfied smile. A sharp corner of his face shares a pair of dark eyes. Once again, Louis wonders how he manages to become the most intimidating man when just seconds ago he was a puppy.
“For that, and for how well you use your tongue.”
