“Can you—can you give me something that smells like you, for now? Like you do with Hyunnie? I’m still a little…” he trails off, still skittish around the topic of his heat.
Give him your dirty underwear, says Wumuti's instinct.
“I have a spare handkerchief,” she offers instead.
Haru presents, and Wumuti has a problem.

Summary
Haru’s behavior is unusual enough to comment on but not weird enough to feel noteworthy to anyone, and maybe that’s where the whole problem started. Maybe they have “poor boundaries” like their manager has gently tried to suggest, or maybe Wumuti just coddled Haru too much, and now he’s turned rotten. Whatever it is, his obsession with leaving his scent on Wumuti hasn’t let up at all.
Or, Haru presents as a baby alpha.

Summary
Maybe it's unhealthy, the way they seem to complete each other. The way nobody else could ever be good enough for Wumuti in Haru's eyes, the way Wumuti so badly wants to be Haru's one and only. It's been the two of them against the world for so long, after all. Who could blame them for being more like lovers than a mother and son should?
At least, that's what Wumuti tells herself. It helps her sleep at night, having something to imagine other than her son's face.

Summary
If anyone asked her the next day why Wumuti should dictate whether or not she could use the restroom when she was a fully grown adult, she would not be able to give them a straight answer.
Wumuti was very sweet, but there was something about her gaze and her tone that just made people want to do as they were told. Rui wasn’t even sure if it would be in fear of her disappointment or of some kind of punishment.
