His first memory was of his mother, beautiful blonde hair which fell to her tailbone when it wasn’t worn in a bun. Pale blue skirt swishing in the mid-summer sun which filtered in through the handmade curtains that hung over the oak windowsill his grandfather had built. She was reading to them, his older brothers sitting on the floor beside him. They were listening to her tell a Bible story, the story of how Jesus healed the woman with a blood issue, healing her through faith, and her daughter through diction. The miracles of healing entered his mind for the very first time. The start of his love for healing.
For his seventh birthday he asked for a doctor set.
