Doll makes a deal with J and Tessa in a desperate attempt to find the patch that will free her of the solver's influence. J's obvious interest in Doll, however, keeps breaking the image Doll had imagined Murder drones to be like, and there's something about J that's so enticing it's only reminding Doll of what she's deeply ashamed of.

“So, are we like…friends?”
“Yeah, why not? I haven’t known anyone beside my mother who has the solver. It’d be nice to have someone who knows what I’ve been through.”
One year ago, Uzi’s solver abilities activated. Doll finds Uzi drinking oil from a drone that Uzi killed, and is shocked at the discovery of Uzi inheriting the Absolute Solver. Despite Uzi’s confusion and the terror, Doll helps Uzi and the two become friends. Over time, their friendship grows, becoming the best of friends, and Uzi feels a desire to be even closer to Doll than they already are.

[⚠️ EPISODE NINE SPOILERS SFAUFUA MOVE ALONG ⚠️]
They all watched him fall— The funny, comic relief character. How ironic was that? The one who told jokes with a beaming smile now hid amongst pillows with sorrow.
They were probably laughing at him outside of the pillowfort, Jax decided with a scoff, squinting at the light coming out of the pillowfort. Somebody must’ve forgotten to cover the entrance.
Whatever.
Jax looked down, feeling the familiar yet odd glitchness of his animalistic limbs, his multiple eyes opening and closing— arrays of colour filling the corners of his vision, reminding him of the depiction of people being high.
It was rare to think, Jax had come to terms with that. The abstraction was like a mind of its own, commanding for blood and violence in an animalistic tone.
And all he could really do was wait for that opening, wait for the cage to creak open ever so slightly so he could feel human again, even if it was never noticeable by whoever was around him.---
OR: Pomni and the rest are persistent in constantly talking to Jax, unaware that he's listening in with complete consciousness, slowly regaining his sanity with each one sided conversation.Bookmarked by ratscence
