Summary
Of all the things Gabriella could’ve seen herself doing during a regular day at her riverside abode, pulling a man out of said river was not one of them.
Yet she does so anyway, and she takes care of him: this strange man on the brink of death with a purple poncho and pale hair. After all, what else is an apothecary to do, let her patient perish on her table? Hardly.
This man- Therion- does seem to bring far more into her life than she had expected him to, however.

An interpretation of how Therion survived Darius's betrayal, and the ensuing feelings and twists that a chance encounter takes, when a woman finds him afloat in the river.The story begins five years prior to the events of Octopath Traveler, yet eventually time-skips into the adventure itself, where character relationships and traveler banter take off.
