Jae squeezes their cock and tears their face away. Resting. Jae is meant to be resting right now. Resting means not jerking off to Aguiar and Escarlata. It means not thinking about how Aguiar had seemed almost disappointed that Jae wouldn’t be joining them.

Labyrinth — the vessel — knows lots of things. One might say too much. Yet most of it is locked away under layers and layers of static-fog, frustratingly slow to unravel.
‘Labyrinth’ — the reluctant pilot — doesn’t know much at the moment. Exhaustion and ache set forth in this body’s muscles and nerves, heavy and slow and sluggish. He blinks up at the sky, dark, speckled with stars long since dead. Blinking spots without constellations, drifting thoughts without connections.
He is a ghost inside a flesh machine, unprepared for the kinks and bugs that came with it.

“Joui?”
A single dark eye flicks to him. “Mm?”
“With me again?”
“Mm-hm.” Before Arthur can even ask how he’s feeling, Joui starts to flex his shoulders and arms, fidgeting in the straps of the spinal board.
Oh, no, bad. “Hey, hey, hey.” He drops the damp rag on the side of the bed and runs his hand up and down Joui’s arm as gently as he can. “Easy. You hurt your neck, remember? Carla says you shouldn’t be moving much right now.”
Joui stops straining. He exhales. “...But my face itches.”
Arthur blinks, and despite everything, he feels his lips twitch up at Joui’s tone: sulky. Arthur will take his sulkiness any day. He’s missed it, even. After all of Joui’s broken cries of pain when they were trying to carry him away from—well. Sulky is good. “I know. I’m working on it, I promise.”

Or, the Order and its allies have returned to the Leone Mansion after successfully containing Kian. As they wait for news of a hospital they can take their critically injured to, Arthur has decided to clean the blood off of Joui's face.
