    There was a twinge in Tango’s brain, and a sudden rush of fear. “What. Happened.”

    “Nothing we can’t fix!” Zedaph chirped cheerfully from the foot of the bed he was in—Zedaph’s bed, Tango now realized. “Um, probably. We’ll figure it out. I think.”

    Impulse shot a steely glare at Zedaph, and he baulked slightly. Then he turned back to Tango. “Tango, it’s okay. The evoker… well… uh…” He trailed off aimlessly, looking helpless.

    “What did it do to me?” Tango asked weakly.

    Impulse looked away.

    After a Zedvancement goes wrong and Tango is struck with a stray illager spell, he's forced to reconsider everything he thought he knew about his identity and his past. With the help of Impulse, Zedaph, Cub, and Scar, Tango is taught the ways of the illager king he once was, and prepares to take down the usurper who stole his throne.
