Summary
This is just my take on Shiro moving on from Adam and falling in love again with Curtis. Canon compliant. This is going to be pretty angsty, even more than usual, so big warning. Begins with Shiro returning home amidst a Galra infested Earth.

**Maybe consider this an independent fic with OCs more so than a fanfic? Now that I think about it, Curtis is a very minor character, and here he's not referred by his real name that's in the show. Anyway, this is just something fun I cooked**
Kartik (Curtis) has just returned from England with a degree and a growing unease about home. His once-familiar household now feels colder. His brother barely acknowledges him, his sisters keep their distance, and his father is wealthier than ever thanks to a business no one will talk about. Kartik is told to rest, to enjoy the life laid out for him. But something doesn’t add up.
The weekly visits from a quiet, scarred man only sharpen his suspicions. The more Kartik tries to understand what’s changed, the more he’s drawn toward the secrets everyone wants him to ignore. As loyalties shift and past choices come to light, Kartik must decide how far he’s willing to go to uncover the truth—and what it might cost him.

Summary
Where Adam does not die and meets Shiro and gang after they return to Earth. This fic focuses mainly on Adam and Shiro's relationship and then Adam and Shiro's relationship with the other paladins. Curtis and Veronica are Space Dads' friends.
Canon modified to fit a dramatic angsty Adam into the narrative. Adam is MFE instructor, eventual bridge officer. Adam's POV. Hunk is a sweetheart.
I'll be trying to stick to the canon as much as possible without ruining it the way dreamworks did.Edit: Major changes to the canon to try and fix Shiro, Allura, Keith and Lance's character arcs. In the later chapters.

Hiccup never wanted the chieftainship and always had a thirst for knowledge. Toothless gave him wings to achieve everything he had always wanted. When he fled Berk, he never imagined he would end up involved in a war of hunters, and that this war would bring him back to Berk more than five years later.
Not as Hiccup, but as the living legend of the Dragon Master, the one responsible for putting an end to the attacks on the islands of the archipelago.
