Summary
You were a prototype. Built as a way to test the effectiveness of robotic staff. According to the people that built you, you were a mindless droid meant to preform the basic tasks that they didn't want to pay minimum wage for someone to do. They sent you to some fancy mall to be the janitor near the daycare, testing your abilities before they "make more of you".
You didn't like being called mindless. As far as you could tell, you weren't that different than the humans you saw during the day. You had thoughts and feelings all the same. So why did everyone treat you poorly? They poked and prodded at you, they purposely made messes just to watch you clean them up, they called you mean names while they looked at you, treating you like you weren't able to comprehend them.
Those two working in the daycare were different, though. They said hello to you, helped you clean up if they had the chance, asked you questions and actually cared about your thoughts. The happy one even called you his friend. You felt enamored by them.

Things begin to look like he has feelings for you too, as many DCA X Reader fics go, and you almost get your bot- that is until they get a new handler, an ambiguous, sleep deprived, quirky, somewhat cynical person that has the self-preservation of a lemming comes in and steals them away! (In short, you- the reader, are simping hard for the Attendant and a traditional, stereotypical Y/N comes in and the Attendant throws you to the side like garbage and falls full force, 100% in love with Y/N.) Back from hiatus! Updating when I can!!

Summary
Ever since you were the age of 4, you were taken from your parents by auctioneers. You were put through years of rigorous torment that broke your mind into what they called, "The Perfect Blood Bag."
During the day of your auction, you were bought by a striking individual, and instead of being treated as you formerly were, you were given a choice.
You could flee and live a normal life, or work at the orphanage that the individual owned. Owing your life to them, you agree to work at the orphanage, finding it hard not to comply with what your previous owners taught you.
