Summary
Liam doesn’t turn away. Instead, he forces himself to focus on those green eyes, narrowing his own to feign indifference. He almost pulls it off too, if not for the betraying heat creeping up the tips of his ears, turning them an incriminating shade of red.
“You must be cold without your trunks,” Liam remarks, forcing his voice into something disinterested and flat.
Theo just smirks wider as he reaches the shore, each step seeming to mock Liam’s attempt at composure. “You bet,” he replies smoothly. Then, without breaking eye contact, he bends down to retrieve his jeans. “Why don’t you come a little closer? Warm me up.”
It’s bait. Another attempt to get under his skin, to provoke a reaction. Liam knows it, sees it for exactly what it is, and refuses to give him the satisfaction.

Tara's breath caught in her throat as she struggled to speak, the pain in her abdomen intensifying with every passing moment. "No, I do not. She loves me," she pleaded, her voice barely above a whisper. She closed her eyes in a desperate attempt to stop the tears from falling, but they spilled down her cheeks nonetheless.
"And yet..." Ghostface brought the knife up to her cheek, tracing a fallen tear with the tip of the blade. "You think I am her," they said, their voice low and dangerous. The knife glinted in the dim light, a silent threat that hung in the air between them.

Robin huffed. “Rude, I told you I was.”
“Look at me.”
Robin did. She always did when Nancy asked like that.
“We have been dating,” Nancy said slowly, enunciating every word, “for nearly six months.”
