Summary
Being good at details means he's pretty good at making sure none of his own details spill out into the open, even while he's cataloguing everyone else's.
And that sense he can't shut off, that thing that lives under his skin and watches and watches and watches? It is always tuned in to whatever frequency Robby is on.
He doesn't mean to notice. He absorbs the awareness, epidermis to dermis to bloodstream, the constriction that makes the hair stand up on the back of his neck.

Trinity throws a going-away party for Robby. Dennis puts together all the pieces of Robby he can’t stop noticing. Some bad decisions are made, for (hot) self-actualization reasons. Only the last chapter will be explicit.

James has gotten into the habit of asking Will to come spend the night down in Brighton. They both know what he is actually asking for. Tonight, and for the first time, Will says yes.

"Then, a few months back, James had apparently gone mad and decided to just risk and ruin it all with one small addition : right before leaving, as Will double checks his pockets for his phone, wallet and keys, James asks him if he wants to come with to Brighton. See Otto, spend the night, maybe even grab breakfast in one of the multiple cafes nearby the morning after. They both know what James means by the offer. He says it as light-hearted as he can, as if he only just got the idea. Half the time he does not even look his friend in the eye when he asks. Plausible deniability and what not. There are even times where Will looks about to say yes, fidgeting and lips twitching, but so far, he has only ever been turned down."

Of course you’re welcome to stay over, too. It’s my understanding that Doctor Santos’s relationship with Doctor Garcia is… flourishing. And that maybe you’d both do well with more privacy.”
Dennis’s feet slowed as they approached a covered bus stop, finally stilling once they were underneath the metal sign indicating the stop number. “That is true. I mean, yeah, I could drop by, keep an eye on things, stay over on date nights that are always at our place for some reason...”
