Summary
Kars doesn't know much about raising children- it's been too long since the children before these two were born- and he's often baffled in the face of their development. Esidisi seems to have a fair grasp on it, or else he has a natural gift for it, but where he excels Kars lacks. They're strange little beings, and watching them grow and learn is as captivating as it is confusing.

“I’m-,” Abbacchio swallowed hard, trying to keep his composure as he felt sweat build up on his temple. On the skin inside his palms. Cold, sticky. Revealing. “I’m not.”
“Bullshit. ” Bucciarati’s hand caressed the side of his face. “You’re terrified.”Or, Abbacchio is a cop, Bucciarati is a gangster. Their respective paths should have never crossed.

And now Abbacchio had gone and fucked the trust they built up. He tried to quit. He tried so hard and he had but it seemed fate had a different choice for him. It was going on one month with being clean, without any alcohol and Abbacchio was sitting there, holding the neck of the wine bottle.
Abbacchio relapses, gets angry, and Bucciarati helps him through all this. With love and care.
