Taking a spontaneous trip to a beautiful seaside town and meeting an adorably awkward surfer boy gives Lando a chance to reclaim the parts of him that he thought he had lost forever.

Summary
Lando Norris arrives in Australia with his best mate expecting six weeks of travel content, tourist attractions and sponsor obligations.
Instead, he finds himself in the middle of State of Origin week with absolutely no understanding of what is happening, a growing collection of questions, and an increasing interest in the sport of rugby league that may or may not have to do with a certain player wearing the number nine jersey.
Oscar Piastri is one of the biggest rugby league players in Australia, and has spent years building a reputation as one of rugby league’s calmest leaders.
However his NRL team is having their worst season in years and Origin is about to start which means the next few weeks are going to be crazy with going in and out of training camps, media and fan events.
And yet somehow, an English streamer who thinks Origin is a cult becomes a far bigger distraction than he’d ever planned for.

“Lando.” Oscar murmured. “It’s time to wake up.”As expected, there was no response.
“Lando.” He gently took his hand and squeezed it slightly. “Come on, time to get up.”
“No.” Came the childlike response as Lando rolled over to face away, eyes still shut.
Oscar smiled, watching as the Brit buried his head into the blanket.
“It’s like 8am.” Oscar replied. “Come on.”
A muffled grumble was his only response.
“I made pancakes.”
Lando’s head lifted from the blanket enough to reveal sleepy hazel eyes. He looked like a teddy bear all bundled up with those adorable eyes.
“You made pancakes?” His voice was husky from sleep.

Oscar knows he fucked up the moment he tried to be the goody-two-shoes that he thinks he is.
“So, you’re saying,” Lando narrows his brows, “My parents are paying you to date me?”
“Um, yeah,” Oscar admits, licking his dry lips, “No, I mean, they said they would pay me only if we started dating, which we haven’t so, technically—”
Lando goes off on a rant about how his parents are so controlling and have no sense of respect for his privacy. God, he looks so fucking good complaining.
“You know what, mate? Fuck it.”
The mischievous glint in Lando’s eyes snaps him out of his daze.
“Let’s do it. Let’s get you paid, Osc!”
