Boothill only sighs, clenching his fist tightly before turning back to face Argenti with a look of defeat. “We have no choice, they’ve insisted on the idea that since we travel together, we must be boyfriends or fuck buddies,” The last word spewing out loosely as he catches his mouth from saying anything worse. Argenti chuckles at his comment, brushing his hair back before shaking his head.
“Well, we do have a choice, we could just deny. But I guess Mr. Boothill doesn’t want to play that game?” His brows furrow up, looking at Boothill as if he was shooting an interrogation.

She nudges the bathroom door open. It’s humid, the mirror still damp at the corners where Argenti’s wiped it clean. Boothill splashes her face with cool water, washes her hands properly, then goes looking for her girlfriend. It doesn’t take long – she hip-checks the bedroom door open wider, and Argenti’s there, face down on the bed.
Her gym clothes are in the hamper, bag open and airing on the dresser. She hasn’t noticed Boothill yet, scrolling through something on her phone.
