Summary
By the third shot of soju that Riki downs, she’s out of her body watching herself watch all the guests be all over Jungwon. Jongseong is separating the perilla leaves in her plate with her own chopsticks, Jaeyun is in front of her, trying to get her attention to snap a picture of the birthday girl, Sunghoon is pouring her another glass of cherry wine.
Sunoo is next to Jungwon, like a guardian angel of some sorts, or a lovely ghost whom Riki is sure only she can sense. Everyone interacts with her, sure, but Riki is convinced that she’s the only one in the room who can feel the intensity of her.
The irony of it all, most of what Riki knows about Sunoo, she’s learned through Jungwon’s words.- Language:
