Summary
Khaslana doesn’t liken himself to these other children, plucked from their own city-states, probably snatched out of the arms of their dying parents. They cry too much. Too loud. Their experiences were similar, but they’re not the same. He has a purpose, a heavy responsibility rests upon his shoulders. He’s going to be a hero one day.
“The son of The Mad King will become an even greater tyrant. He will grow mad with grief and plunge the world into strife until he takes his own life, at the edge of the world.”
The prophecy rings inside his mind ever since he woke up, he doesn’t know where it comes from and no one else seems to have heard of it. Only a voice reminding him to stop that reality over and over. He knows it's true deep down inside his heart. Kephale is speaking to him.
Phainon wakes up in the dungeons of Castrum Kremnos with fragments of memories and a prophecy etched deep inside.
Given to the prince as a gift and with an intention to kill the future tyrant, he ends up risking the world to fight against the prophecy he believed his whole life.Series

Summary
Phainon has a bit of a crisis after accidentally hearing that Mydei is getting married. He overthinks everything, suffers in silence, gets remarkably drunk, and ends up in Mydei's private baths waiting for the inevitable end of his world.

“Three sessions.” Khaslana says at least, with his empty doll eyes under the shadow of the trees, he looks more like a ghost than ever. “I give you three sessions. If you don’t get to paint something I like, I leave.”
“Hm, you really think I can’t.”
“I know you can’t.”
How terribly arrogant. Mydei grins, wild and prideful, heart thumping with what might be either adrenaline or anger. “Three sessions.” He agrees.
They say whoever attempts to make a muse out of Khaslana goes mad. Mydei thinks that’s fine. He wants less of a muse than he likes a challenge. Somewhere along the way, he falls in love.

Summary
“How convenient,” Mydei said and Phainon realised his mistake, that Mydei hadn’t relinquished his grip but merely slackened it, when another, softer tug at his coat rocked him back onto his heels. “Aglaea really thinks of everything.”
“What—“ Phainon laughed but it was too high and thin, flustered, so he cleared his throat to steady himself even as his cheeks burned. “What is this about?”
“These,” Mydei answered, most unhelpfully, with another sharp pull that tightened the fabric of Phainon’s coat around his stomach and waist. His breath stuttered in his chest for another reason entirely. “The handholds. You have a metal ring. And a matching one on the other side.”
Phainon learns of a unique feature on his coat in the worst possible way: he has an… inappropriate reaction in the middle of Marmoreal Marketplace when Mydei tugs a bit too hard.
Neither of them have a problem with this.
