He’s met with the sight of a blonde guy who is most definitely young and pretty enough for the job, the kind of face that would be sure to generate a new pool of regulars and drum up a hefty amount of tips.
“Oh, wow, it really is you!” he exclaims, and it stirs up an uneasy feeling in Chris’s chest. “You used to be an idol, right? It’s been so many years, but you still look the same. Holy shit, I can’t believe I ran into you!”
The smile slips from Chris’s face. It’s been so long since he was last recognized that he had almost forgotten it was a thing that could happen, but of course his peace has to be disturbed.
