Summary
“Hold on,” Robin interrupts. “Hold on, is this— are you, like. Do you know what masochism is?”
“I know I act like it sometimes, Robin, but I’m not actually fucking twelve,” Steve says.

Summary
That's what he gets for sticking his nose in other people's business, why he's always getting himself in trouble. Eddie should've listened to his gut and pack his shit up long before the fight even started, should've looked the other way like everyone else at this goddamn party instead of making it his problem.
But he couldn't look away from the tragedy happening right before his eyes; it's hard to pretend not to care when Steve is in the centre of it all.

Summary
Three tickets to a Metallica show in Indianapolis. Two guys who have been circling each other for a while now. One grounded, and now absent Dustin Henderson buffer.
It's fine.
Now it's post-concert buzz and two hours of dark highway and a lot of vibes. Somewhere in rural Indiana, at exit fifty-something, under fluorescent lights that do nobody any favors, two guys make a series of seemingly reasonable decisions that lead them to a twenty-two dollar motel room with one bed, which is either very lucky or very unlucky depending on how you look at it.

Summary
Steve grabs Eddie by the arm and marches him deeper into the apartment like he’s trying to make extra sure they’re not overheard. “Do you have a problem with Jordan?”
“What? No.” Eddie immediately wipes the remaining coldness from his expression. “No. I have no issue with him. He’s a decent dude,” he says, and he really is. Eddie has no rational reason to feel such animosity towards him. “He’s sweet, he’s good to you, you seem happy.”
“Yeah, he is. I am.” Hands on his hips, Steve regards Eddie with a stern and questioning look usually reserved for his middle school students. “It’s just—you’ve been kind of sullen and grumpy and honestly rude whenever he’s around lately. Every time you see him or he tries to say hi to you or anything, you glare at him like he just smashed your guitar. So…are you sure you don’t have a problem with him?”
“Ah. No, I just, uh—” Chastized, Eddie shakes his head and attempts to laugh it off. “Robin thinks I’m just a joyless bastard who hates love.”

Summary
"Hey Dustin?" Steve says, gathering all the courage left in his heart.
"Yeah?" Dustin replies, not turning around.
"Hey about uh... some of the stuff that I said earlier. I just-"
Dustin doesn't let him finish. "It's fine," he interrupts him. "It's okay."
But Steve knows it isn't. The bitter aftertaste of the hateful words he's said is still lingering in his mouth. "No, just- It's not okay."
Dustin freezes.
"Eddie," Steve starts, the name ringing in his ears. "He saved your life. Our lives. And I know what he meant to you. I can't even imagine how hard it's been. But instead of just being there for you, I just..." he trails off, twisting the spear in his hands, absentmindedly. "Well, I got angry about it. I guess..."
Dustin looks at him, but he doesn't quite understand.
"I got angry, because things were different."
