    Summary

    Modern/Human AU
In the middle of an unassuming autumn night, fire raged on Xie Lian’s property. His home, his peace, was gone in the blink of an eye. Good fortune at least spared his curio shop built onto the house, but nothing more. The stability and quiet he’d worked his entire life for was teetering on the edge.
With no other options, Xie Lian took a waiter job at a high-end hotel restaurant to afford being able to rebuild his home and return to the life he yearned for. He fought hard for whatever stability he could get—and that meant ignoring all the rumors of one elusive man who owned the hotel and half the city.
After catching the attention of a handsome, wealthy patron named San Lang, Xie Lian began to wonder if the tranquility he’d chased for so long was simply an excuse to run.

“You,” she snarled, like she would say ‘garbage’ or ‘trash’. “You, of course, will never marry. Who would marry a monster, ah?”

“As if I want to get married anyway,” he mumbled angrily.

    Summary

Hua Cheng shifts his body, trying to lessen the weight of his body atop the crown prince’s but his knee shifts and it’s pressing between his strong thighs and — and— oh

Xie Lian moans softly at the pressure of Hua Cheng’s corded thigh against his cunt, fingers nearly shredding the sleeve fabric in his grip. Horror sinks into Xie Lian’s chest, stomach sinking like a corpse as he realises the sound that had slipped from his lips. His free hand darts from where it rests captive between their bodies to hide away his mouth, betrayer of his most intimate sounds. Above him, Hua Cheng goes stock still, breath caught against sharpened teeth.

    They breathe.

    The coffin creaks.

“Gege…” His voice trembles, anxiety palpable in the pitch and shift of his voice. Tension writes confessions in his limbs, arm shaking as if it wished its owner would shift to its elbows instead of his palm Still, he holds himself above Xie Lian, regal as only the Ghost King could be. “Gege, are you… are you wet?”

    Summary

"The house is beautiful. It’ll need a little bit of work, but it has a lot of character.” Xie Lian accepted the keys when she offered them, turning the ring thoughtfully between his fingers. “I still don’t know why the previous owner abandoned it.”

The realtor’s smile faltered almost imperceptibly. She shifted her weight and glanced toward the house before hesitantly looking back at him. “The house has been on the market for years,” she said carefully. “I couldn’t tell you why the last owner left, but it appears the house has a high turnover rate.” Her fingers tightened slightly around the clipboard tucked against her side. “Once someone moves in, they don’t stay for very long.”

OR: On the verge of losing his apartment, Xie Lian jumps at the opportunity to purchase a beautiful old Victorian home for a fraction of what it’s worth. After a series of strange occurrences, Xie Lian begins researching the property's history. He quickly discovers that one name keeps appearing: Hua Cheng. An eighteen-year-old young man who died in the house nearly a century ago.
