Donghyuck looks like he doesn’t know whether to laugh or be concerned, his mouth hanging open. In the end, he bursts into a fit of giggles, doubling over. Mark can’t help but join in, laughing at himself.
“Were you flirting just now?” Is what Donghyuck asks once he’s gotten a hold of himself, still chuckling. “God, that’s so fucked up. We’re high, broken up, and you’re flirting?”
“No, I don’t know, it’s the fuckin’ drugs, I don’t know!”

Eren does not know what to do. He doesn’t have one fucking idea, actually. There are no instructions in his Cadet training materials nor do the Corps teach any courses on what to do if you’re stuck in an elevator with a superior you have feelings for and he can’t come up with anything on his own at the moment.
So he has no other choice but to stay still and just breathe.
“Eren,” the Captain’s clipped voice cuts through the silence. “Are you alright?”
“Yes,” he manages, not daring to ignore the Captain’s question. But he doesn’t turn around to face him because doing so would mean having to look into his steel grey eyes - something he really doesn’t want to. Not after what happened last night.

Summary
Tossing and turning at night, worrying about a man who doesn’t think of him as anything more than an acquaintance is a downright demeaning way to live, he inherently knows this. It doesn’t stop him from losing sleep over whether or not Mark has already moved onto the next big thing.
It doesn’t hurt any less when he watches Mark eat breakfast across the table the following morning, never losing eye-contact with his phone.

"You would shit your pants over Jaemin," Mark sounds out the name, shrugging the words on to see how well they fit. The answer is not the way he thought they would—definitely oversized on the frame of Donghyuck's personality, very much foreign on Mark's tongue, and a fashion statement to make when worn anyway. “Are you sure you mean Jaemin?"
