Lohen doesn't like routines.
This is what he has always known ever since he was a kid. Watching the monotonous ways his father's arm flexes as the axe drops down to the wood, the clean slit across the leather his mother cuts over and over again—he realizes that he despises this repetitive mundanity. It breeds complacency and complacency leads to weakness.
The medics, you included, however, find a strange sort of solitude in your routines. Every morning, you wake up at the break of dawn to prepare the medical supplies or switch the night shift with another colleague to look after the wounded. On most days, you tend to their injuries, prepare the saline, distribute antibiotics, check for infections and change the knights' bandages. There is something almost calming to it and you wish for the days to come to stay exactly as they are.
Lohen has nothing against the medics— their job is honorable, commendable and important to the expedition. He doesn't think they're weak by any means, but "strong" wouldn't be a word he uses to describe them and unfortunately, that just happens to be his favorite word of all.
