Summary
A ringtone went off somewhere in the glitzy hotel room they paid way too much for, the stray rays of sunlight that escaped through half shut drapes felt blinding on Joe’s barely open eyes. His head was pounding, and the ringtone that was going off was fucking irritating. He went to rub his face and was met with… a handful of feathers?
"What the hell?" Joe sat up baffled. A small army of Pomeranians were busy ripping apart a hotel pillow; their last victim already eviscerated to a mass of a thousand feathers spread out over the carpeting and himself.

Summary
Pete felt bad, he really did. He was actually feeling pretty shitty most days lately. It was no fault of anyone but his own stupid head. Even worse, he hated that his stupid head was making Patrick feel alienated. But he meant it, things were going to get better once they got the band out to LA and they recorded this next album. He could be optimistic about that right? Once they got to LA he could for sure say this was all real and not all just a dream. As of now though- it felt like his world was exploding outwards, like a big bang, and he had no way of keeping up. Too fast. Too wild.
Enter William, hanging out with him had a whole different vibe than hanging with any of his other friend groups. It was honestly a very much needed yet very unexpected distraction before they got thrown back into the recording world. Pete usually didn’t fuck with the rich privileged type, but William didn’t care about all that shit. He was just so cool and easy to talk to.

'Time doesn't wait for closed lips to open. It sure as hell won't stand by for Pete to finally fess up and voice his feelings instead of writing cryptic LiveJournal entries at every impulse. It's unforgiving and it's waging war against his butterfly cage stomach every second he waits. If fate brought Patrick to him, surely it could rip him away if muddied feelings get between them.
So, Pete bites his tongue until it aches red and heavy with words unsaid. Five stupid words that weaseled their way past his lips and into Patrick's ears one night. Rushed and jumbled, but clear enough to be understood:
"I think I love you", he says, as if the last bits of air left in his lungs had been used up. The words hang in the air and by then, it's too late to stuff them back in.'

Summary
When Patrick agrees to tour in the back of a beat-up van, it’s mainly because he’s gotten a hold of some heat suppressants. When Pete throws them out the window it all starts to go downhill. Patrick is the awkward, self-conscious, omega and Pete is the cool older alpha. He doesn’t know how he fits into Pete’s life besides being his halfway decent lead singer. But when Patrick finds himself dealing with a heat in some shady motel room, he finds more clarity than he thought possible.
