Summary
On Izuku's desk in the UA teacher's office sits a small desk organizer, a cheap thing made partly of synthesized wood and partly of plastic, with a few drawers for papers and office supplies. In it, Izuku keeps extra pens, paperclips, his current journal, and printed copies of every invitation to join someone's agency that he's received since getting his suit.
Every one of his friends with their own agency has sent him one. Open hands extended towards him, ready to lift him up into the world he's so late arriving to. The only friend he doesn't have an actual physical and official written invitation from is Katsuki, who always springs it on him verbally when Izuku is least ready for it, as if trying to startle Izuku into accepting.
That doesn't make the offer less real to Izuku, though. In fact, it's probably the only one that he finds himself fighting off thoughts of the most. The only one he ever feels genuinely tempted—despite his efforts not to be—to accept.
After his triumphant return to hero work, Izuku's friends notice that he has rejected any and every offer he's gotten to join an agency.
They decide a bit of an intervention is in order.

Summary
So Katsuki is confident that there isn't that much that he doesn't know about Deku, and he puts the thought of maybe I don't know Deku very well anymore firmly out of his mind, out of even the realm of possibility.
This kind of minor personal bullshit isn't important to becoming the Number 1 Hero. Really, the fact that Katsuki even let himself think about it at all is ridiculous. Those are braincells and seconds he'll never get back.
He doesn't care about Deku enough to even want to know him better.
(At least, that's what he tells himself. Again and again, furiously, with his molars grinding together and his own glare piercing him through the mirror, forcing himself to believe it.)
Katsuki isn't very practiced at accepting when he was wrong about something, so of course there's an adjustment period after realizing he was wrong about Deku.

Summary
Aizawa Shouta was tired.
Crouched on the edge of the roof as he was, he observed the streets below him silently. He was coming to the end of his patrol, and if everything remained as it was, he'd be able to catch a decent nap before having to report in to the school for another round of proctoring.
Which, of course, is when he saw the kid being chased down the alley.
