Summary
Leon wanted to walk in there right now, pull you into his arms, and just hold you. Feel that peace you brought to him with your smile and your kindness. But he couldn’t do that. He had no idea who could be watching, who could recognize you as a weakness of his to be exploited. In the past, when he’d come to see you at work, he hadn't taken into consideration these kinds of matters because he’d naively believed you existed beneath the attention of his world. Now, after the attack orchestrated by Krauser, he knew better.
He could still greet you in passing if he happened to be staying at the hotel for a mission; even hold a conversation with you. But he’d have to restrain the way he looked at you, and control how he spoke. That would be torturous. Even now, as he watched you talking with an operative checking in, he could feel his expression shifting, scowling at how the other man leaned forward as if hanging on every word you said. Had Kang been like that? Just the thought made his hands clench around the binoculars he was holding, the frames creaking from the force of his grip.
How the hell would he ever be able to hide these intense reactions you brought out of him?
