Amy loves Sonic. She always has, and she always will. She wants to be by his side in whatever capacity he'll allow. She wants to be there for him in whatever way he'll let her be. She wants to make him happy. She wants to watch him smile, and laugh, and enjoy his life. She wants to be a part of that life. She wants him to love her- no. She wants him to admit that he loves her, because they both know he does. So she does what she can to help him realize that, by being whatever he needs her to be, and hopes that one day when she says "I love you." He'll finally say it back.
She watches him get drunk, and lets him drag her onto the dance floor.
She repeats the same mistake, again and again.
