Summary
When Max's brother, Eli, had moved with the rest of the family to Hawkins, he had stayed to himself much like his little sister. His days were split between his running mutual hatred for his brother-in-law that simmered anytime their eyes met and time that he spent with Max at the arcade, but Eddie had changed that almost instantly when they'd become friends. He had been brought into a group of perfect strangers that instantly felt like family and accepted without question into everything they did.
Eddie had been his first true friend and when his feelings towards the other man begin to shift, he finds himself caught between risking everything they'd built and letting himself suffer in silence for the rest of their lives. He had never let himself think that Eddie could feel the same way.
But, then again, Eddie had never been known for being predictable.

Summary
When August Chandler, looking like a vision straight out of a 1966 fashion catalog, transfers to Hawkins High, the entire social order grinds to a halt. The jocks are confused, the cheerleaders are envious, and everyone is utterly captivated by the prettiest, sweetest new girl in town. But the biggest shock comes at lunch when August makes a beeline for the Hellfire table and throws his arms around Eddie Munson.
