Vi moved before he could get any closer and gave one stiff shove into the old man’s chest, knocking him back a couple steps into the waiting hands of two Spartans, who seized his arms without hesitation.
“You idiot!” Heimerov snapped, struggling against them, his voice rising. “You’re making the same mistake that—”
“We’re done here,” Vander cut in, already looking at the Spartans holding him. “Escort him out.”
Heimerov twisted and fought as they pulled him out of the war room, his eyes locking directly onto Caitlyn’s with desperate intensity. “”Caitlyn!” He called. “This is your last chance for forgiveness! To get rid of the nightmares!"OR
It was a little over a year ago when Caitlyn saved the metro from a threat many of its citizens didn't even know was there. She climbed the tallest tower in all of Moscow with the help of the courageous Spartan Rangers and rained fire down on the Dark Ones, insidious mutants who sought to destroy humanity.
That's the story. But Caitlyn isn't sure anymore. Did she save humanity, or did she erase something humanity never had the chance to understand?

“Hey, Cupcake,” Vi muttered as she pulled herself up the last rung of the ladder, then looked back down at Caitlyn. “Did you ever think when you left Piltover Station that you’d end up here, about to save the entire metro?”

One of the final rungs gave way. There was no warning, no preliminary groan, just the sudden absence of stability in her hand. And in an instant, she was falling. Until she wasn’t. Until a hand closed around her wrist like a vise.
“Got you!” Vi was on her stomach, reaching over the ledge, and despite the strain against the stitches, slowly pulled her up to the ledge, the others helping her to her feet as she got there.
“Thanks,” Caitlyn managed to get out, looking down at the drop.
Vi nodded, then smirked, just slightly. “Four to three?”

Years ago, the Runeterra Galaxy was engulfed in the bloodiest war in recorded history.
The Allied Systems—Piltover, Noxus, Demacia, and Ionia—set aside their differences to pursue a goal of order and control. Opposing them was a coalition of systems dreaming of freedom: Zaun, Bilge, Targon, Shurima, and Freljord. Together, they formed the Federation of Liberated Colonies.
The war dragged on for years, until the final day: The Glassing. After a peace envoy ship from the Allies was reportedly shot down in Targonian airspace during the ceasefire between the collectives, the Allies retaliated with devastating force. They unleashed The Monolith, a superweapon composed of orbital lasers capable of leveling entire continents. Targon, the capital of the Federation, was leveled. The entire Federation leadership, including its general, Vander Warwick, was annihilated. The surviving systems surrendered within days.
That day is remembered not as a tragedy, but as Restoration Day.
