Summary
Dr. Ethan Miller has been tasked with reconstructing the lost memories of SAW-01-#29912. The creature disappeared during a mission and reappeared weeks later with no memory of its return. How it returned in the first place is unknown and is the subject of the investigation.
The corporation strongly warns him both of the physical threat the creature might pose and against forming an emotional bond with it. However, when Miller encounters it for the first time, the experiment seems to be more frightened than dangerous.
What begins as a routine psychological assessment soon develops into something far more complex. During the interview, Miller begins to wonder whether the organisation’s handling of this subject might not be preventing precisely the insights that everyone is seeking.

Summary
Somewhere nearby, something exploded.
A misanthropic recluse who was quick to settle down and abandon their hopeless mission into the caves is forced out of a listless cycle of sleeping and hiding when a landmine goes off mere meters from their life pod. They can't just leave someone to die, right?
So they take action. And then they do it again, and again, and again, and hey, where did all these people come from? Why does everyone think this is some kind of charity, that they LIKE being helpful or something?

Summary
As yet another Experiment, 3849 is sent to the planet earlier than planned due to their insubordination to The Evil Company™. That insubordination, however, is highly interesting to an enigmatic third-party beyond understanding of even the greatest scientists.
