    Summary

That damned smirk remained. “Are you volunteering?” Sylvanas asked in a low, conspiratorial voice that positively oozed with provocation.

Anduin, Genn and Nathanos were deathly silent, the kind of silence one fell into when they desperately hoped to go unnoticed.

Nostrils flaring, Jaina glared. “And what if I am, Warchief, afraid of one little mage looking over your shoulder?”

AKA Battle for Azeroth but what if there wasn't a faction war and it's about two traumatised women falling in love at the end of the world?

    Summary

It’s surreal, that Alatus’s nightmare of five hundred years could end with a single arrow.

Five centuries at Mistress’s feet, five centuries soaked to the elbow in blood so her hands could remain clean. Five centuries choking on the sickly-sweet dreams she pushed down his throat, shivering in both disgust and euphoria. And here five centuries end, no glory in her short and simple death, no grace in the way she sprawls lifeless on the marble.

Morax frees Alatus from the dream-goddess's service, and in doing so, he gains the dearest and most loyal companion he's ever known. Through the Archon War and after, through years of suffering and loss, Zhongli and Xiao struggle towards a happier future.

Or, Zhongli and Xiao pine for millennia, suffer a lot, comfort each other even more, and finally forge a happy ending for themselves.

    Summary

Such a tender heart, beneath it all. Morax wonders at it – that a creature so fundamentally gentle could survive something so fundamentally cruel.

“In the fables of another world,” Morax murmurs, “the name Xiao is that of a spirit who encountered great hardship. He endured much suffering, as you have.” His thumb brushes beneath Alatus’s eye, catching the tear before it can fall. “Use this name from now on.”

A story about love, devotion, and vulnerability, told in six parts. Or, five lessons Zhongli learns from Xiao during their thousands of years at each other's sides, and one lesson Xiao learns from him.

    Summary

“What will it take, I wonder,” Zhongli says, more to himself than to Xiao, “for you to cherish your life as I cherish it?”

Xiao’s eyelids flutter shut, and Zhongli remembers unbidden the way his eyes had closed in that dark place beneath the earth. Xiao had been ready to make the Chasm his grave, just as Bosacius did. Zhongli cannot bear to think of his little dove entombed in such a stony, sunless place.

Zhongli’s heart may be carved from stone, but it still beats. It still breaks.

After the Chasm, Zhongli realizes that Xiao needs the guidance of his lord to navigate a Liyue without gods. He takes Xiao's life back into his hands to show him just how much his master values him, hoping that Xiao will learn to value himself in turn.
