Summary
Despite his prestige, James Wilson has never believed he deserved the gratitude given by treated patients and thankful parents. His conscience would never allow him to feed into the niceties of saving lives, not even the respect that comes with it. I mean, how could such a filthy libertine such as he deserve anything close to praise? Not with those thoughts. Not with that sick head. And certainly not with the same fantasies that keep him clutching his thigh in a cold sweat throughout his shifts.
